Some people were comparing GWT to Silpada – and this is like comparing Oranges to Watermelons.
Silpada is a low-end direct sales silver jewellery company. As far as I understand it doesn’t really have a multi-level plan – its really just a home party direct sales business for the low end jewellery. Really, it’s like a lower end Fifth Avenue (another direct sales fashion jewellery company). They even say in the FAQ on their website that they are a “party plan” business. So that gives you one income option. They’ve been in the US for almost 10 years – and they’re one of many companies in that space – low-end jewellery in a home party setting. There’s very low barriers to entry in that kind of a business, as opposed to GWT.
For anyone interested in higher end jewellery, all the range of products we have, actual residual income, or serious income potential – Silpada couldn’t possibly be a fit. For someone who just wants to be the hobby occasional party person in the low end jewellery – then the odd person might gravitate to that kind of company – or Fifth Avenue, or one of the others. As a company we’ve made the decision to move upmarket in our products, and powerful with the compensation plan. But we can’t be everything to everyone. I just hope that anyone who joins a company like that does it for the very specific right reasons – because most people would be happier with GWT for a home-based business.
