Let’s focus on the most important earning stream which is the team commissions. As I taught in the Compensation Plan Pitfalls training http://ourgwt.com/ourblog/compensation-plan-pitfalls/, you always want to focus on earning commissions because they are life time. Bonuses only come once and have to be earned again so it’s not on-going residual income.
Also, for the comp plan breakdown, this website here did a great job breaking it down. But what I will focus on is the difference between this and GWT’s compensation plan.
Some other news important to know about.
DoTerra has a 25% retail profit. GWT has a 100% retail profit. GWT clear winner here.
Fast Start Bonus
DoTerra has a fast start bonus of 20% on your 1st Gen, 10% on 2nd Gen, and 5% on 3rd Gen. However, this bonus is paid on the amount of PV that person ordered. So if you had someone who didn’t order much, 20% of not much is still not much. At GWT, the wholesale profit bonus pays $50 per person! So for someone at doTerra to match this, their brand new person must order 250PV and get 20% which is $50. And most people in doTerra would not spend anywhere near that much in their first 60 days especially because to be active, all you need is 100PV per month.
They also have this power of 3 bonus but you’ll see how the Residual Income to GWT which is a life long income crushes the residual income in doTerra. Again, in my training we speak about how targeting residual income is more important then trying to make bonuses because bonuses always have to be qualified again and again.
The residual income in doTerra only pays down to 7 levels. GAME-OVER! Why would you want to be in a pay plan that only pays down to 7 levels when at GWT, you get paid down to INFINITY on DAY 1. GAME-OVER!
Secondly, their residual income starts you at 2% on the 1st level, and works up to 7% on the 7th level. So what you can see about this plan is that they are up fronting their bonuses and in order to front that money, they only pay you 2% in the residuals. At GWT, it pays you 10% on the 1st level, all the way down to INFINITY at the same 10%. Again, why would want a plan that you have to start at 2%, then get 3% on 2nd level, 5% on 3rd level etc when at GWT you can get 10% on EVERY LEVEL to infinity?
Also, it’s tricky because the highest payout is on the 7th level. Why don’t they just pay the same 7% on all levels? These types of plans are so difficult to make life long residual income. GAME-OVER.
Oh wait, doTerra has this thing called the Infinity Pool where you can get paid 3% down to infinity once you reach higher ranks. But again, it’s a very small % of people that actually get this Infinity pool. Why would you choose this plan when GWT’s plan pays you to INFINITY on DAY 1 without having to go up ranks? GAME-OVER!
Lastly, doTerra’s plan is a unilevel plan meaning you have to build many many legs. As you learned in the Compensation Plan Pitfalls training, having to build anything more then 2 legs is a GAME-OVER. Why build more then 2 when at GWT, you only need to build 2 legs?
